Hire Me

I have degrees in journalism and communications, a professional background in marketing, a flare for fashion and a passion for people. Here are some different ways you can hire me and see results:

1. One-On-One Style Help
Above all, I have a heart for people. If you need some style help, then I am the girl for you! I always answer questions for free via my Facebook page and email and some ways I can help in person include:
- Going through your closet and making new outfits. ($100 per session in person, $50 per session via Skype)
- Going shopping together. ($100 per session)
- A combination of the two. ($200 per session)
- Group sessions. (split the cost with a friend!)
- I live in Orlando, but am willing to travel if you can cover travel expenses.
Why I'm uniquely qualified: If cooking lessons with Rachael Ray sound more your speed than, say, Jacques Pepin (who?), then I'm your girl. I specialize in helping you get to the next level on your journey to your own personal style, not teaching you how to dress like me. I'm also incredibly friendly and non-judgmental. I will always be respectful of your taste and personal style, and we will have fun shopping while also getting down to business! Email me at jseverydayfashion@gmail.com.

2. Style Seminars
Want to provide your employees or another group with some practical style help? Hire me to work with your small or large groups. I have proven success as a public speaker, and I can provide tons of tips for:
- How to dress appropriately in a work environment. (catered to your unique work environment)
- How to add strategy to your shopping trips to make your money stretch.
- How to stay stylish while also maintaining a busy life.
- Positive, uplifting encouragement to start a new style journey.
Why I'm uniquely qualified: I have personal experience dressing for an office environment, proven success as a public speaker, and my seminars are uplifting and never demeaning. The focus of my advice is very practical - I help people who have busy lives and a limited budget answer the question "what do wear each morning that will help me succeed at work?" I have experience with local companies. Please email me for references and rates jseverydayfashion@gmail.com.

3. Marketing Consulting
Do you own a boutique or manage a retail store? I combine my unique mix of experience in marketing and fashion to help you see results. Hire me to:
- Train your employees on how to make style suggestions and offer solutions to customers.
- Create marketing and styling materials for your customers to take home, to post throughout the store, or to use when training employees.
- Create an overall marketing strategy for your company within your city or online.
Why I'm uniquely qualified: "Artsy" and "high fashion" are often desired, but don't necessarily sell in today's economy. I combine my background in marketing with my everyday styling skills to create things that do not intimidate people and instead motivate people to buy and help them overcome their objections, such as not knowing how to wear an item. I have experience consulting for major brands.  Please email me for references and rates at jseverydayfashion@gmail.com.

4. Freelance Writer
Are you in need of written material that focuses on how-to, budget-friendly, relatable style and/or shopping? I'm happy to create custom articles, posters and photos for any number of needs. Email me to brainstorm ideas and for rates, jseverydayfashion@gmail.com.

5. Media Mogul
One of my dreams is to become the "Rachael Ray of fashion." I want to combine my passion for helping women with my journalism background to create materials that will provide practical style advice for women (something I strongly feel is lacking in the media). I am seeking:
- A book agent. I have a proposal ready to go, please email me for a copy, jseverydayfashion@gmail.com.
- A TV agent. I have a show idea ready to go. (Go here to view the pilot. More episodes are coming soon!) Please email me to discuss, jseverydayfashion@gmail.com.

6. Advertise on J's Everyday Fashion
Interested in partnering to promote a product or website that my readers will love? Email jseverydayfashion@gmail.com for a copy of my press kit!

I've had the honor of hearing J speak on several occasions, most notedly at CFLBlogCon 2011. Here she was a featured conference speaker on utilizing Facebook and was one of the most popular speakers of the day. The large audience was captivated and J has a unique ability to be professional and humble while still impressing everyone with her incredible know-how. The other time J sticks out in my mind is when she came to my school to speak with staff about professional attire and fashion in general. She was speaking in front of small groups and came across equally sincere and knowledgeable. She gave practical advice to a tough audience, winning them over by understanding their needs and concerns. Love her!

Awesome, J!!

I would suggest adding a virtual style seminar. Have someone set up a flickr account (or similar) and you help create outfits (like on ShopStyle) and suggest pieces to round out their wardrobe. A head to toe picture of the person would also be useful, to get an idea of how to help them dress for their shape. Obvi, you would need to decide how much to charge for that type of consult ;)
