Sometimes an outfit is all about the details! I wore this last Saturday. I had an event to attend on a sunny afternoon and was in the mood for jeans and a simple, loose top. (I had planned to run home and change before going out for a friend's b-day and wound up not having time, sooooo... this look also doubled as a night-out look!) It's fairly simple, but I love the details on this shirt, and with a couple necklaces and my usual wrist bling, I was happy. And speaking of wrist bling - I'm personally not a fan of the trend of wearing 50 bracelets per wrist, but a couple bracelets here and there is right up my alley. What kind of wrist bling are you rocking these days? The more the merrier, or keep it simple?

I know this post was more about details, but I have to say that I love how well you rock the color yellow.

LOVE your blouse!!!

I keep my arm bling simple - just one piece per arm at most. Love the color of the blouse and the relaxed fit. You look super comfy, but totally pulled together.

I've never been able to really deal with bracelets.  I can wear my watch but that's about it.  I have little tiny doll wrists so most bracelets just slide up to my elbow or get in the way when I'm at my computer.  And since I spend most of my day at work on the computer, well, you can see how that would get annoying!

Wow -- I LOVE that first pictures! Such clear details!

Such a pretty blouse! Accessories always make the outfit, even if it's a tee and jeans! :)

I DO NOT understand what is so fashionable about having bracelets take up half of your arm.  You have the perfect amount of bling on your wrists here.  Anything more, is too much!  I don't care how popular this trend is, it is something I simply won't conform to just because everyone else thinks it is cool.  Looking like Mrs. T, is simply not attractive in my opinion.  :)  My rule is wear no more than 2 or 3 stackables on the wrist and you will look perfect.  xx

A-ha!  I knew you were planning your own post and that's why you were hiding in all the pictures at the party!  I feel validated now.  (hehehe)  Great outfit, totally worth the wait.  : )

I rarely wear bracelets during the workweek, for the same reason. I'm more a ring girl anyway -- I wear two that I never, ever take off, not even in the shower!

Haha love it!

I agree Pip, it can get pretty silly!

jseverydayfashion said...

Yep, I agree! Us working girls at our computers can't always wear a hundred bangles for comfort reasons alone!

Thank you! :-) Comments off-topic are always welcome, lol.

Great easy breezy outfit J. I usually wear 3 bracelets on one wrist, my oversized MK watch on the other wrist, and one simple, but classy, silver ring. I'm not a fan of 10+ bracelets on one arm either.

Not a fan of lots on the wrist either! I also have small wrist, hands and the things fall off. Too much jingle and too many get in the way. One fun bracelet and a watch, statement enough! That's just me.

I love wristwear so I am really liking the 50-bracelets-per-arm look. What I like is that everyone's "50 bracelets" look different... it's so interesting.

Takes forever to get dressed in the morning now though.

I can never bring myself to wear a ring and a chunky bracelet on the same hand. It just looks too cluttered to me!

I personally agree with you, J., i.e., keep it simple, wrist-bling-wise!!    I can understand those who are into............ "piling on bracelets"............ or "piling on necklaces"............ or "piling on rings"............ or "piling on earrings"............ for a fun night out;  a party;  or a Special Event;  but (to be honest) whenever I see a woman wearing "totally PILED ON (whatever)"**  ~  during just Regular Daytime Working/Errand Hours............ (i.e., where it sometimes seems that her jewelry is almost wearing her, instead of vice-versa!!)............ my first thought often is, "Wow, I wonder if SHE has to even WORK for a livin'??!!"    (Haha!!)

**(I have to remind myself that the amount of jewelry----e.g., like bracelets----a woman just routinely wears is also often quite dependent on her culture, too;  and those varying and very interesting ways............ i.e., in which jewelry is worn across cultures............ all simply contribute to The Wonderful *Richness* Of Being A Woman In 2012!!)

I love everything about this!  You look great, such a good colour.  I like a lot of bracelets but about 3 or 4 is my limit!

This is my favorite picture you've used yet!  Showing off the perfect amount of wrist bling.  Keep up the good work :)

I have definitely been doing the more the merrier thing nowadays.. I love this look, simple and chic!

For the office, I usually keep it simple.  But outside the office, I'm all about arm parties and layering necklaces.  The more the merrier!  It's fun to come up with different combinations, and I get more use out of my jewelry that way.

Glitter Guide just did a great tutorial about how to layer necklaces.

Thank goodness you didn't call the 50-bracelts-at-a-time it an arm party...you might have gotten an strongly worded email about copyright infringement.

jseverydayfashion said...

Really? Did that happen to you? I don't ever use that phrase personally...

I know this post is all about the bling, but my favorite part is the shirt. It looks lovely on you.

The Ann Taylor blouse looks fabulous on you. I am a big fan of this yellow this season. I noticed that Ann Taylor is out of stock on their website though =( Do you have any recommendations on where to find something similar? I always appreciate that you provide 3 other options on finding something similar in your posts...it is very helpful!

jseverydayfashion said...

Monica, thank you! There is a somewhat similar blouse at Ann Taylor right now - same yellow color, but it has a collar!

jseverydayfashion said...

Thanks Aubree! I took it with my old camera but really need to get out my new one and start using it again! :-)

katy said...

No, not personally.  But if you check out a certain NY fashionista's blog, she thinks she has the copyright on arm party and man repeller.

Interesente. Good to know, thanks!
