Today's Everyday Fashion: Wine, Women & Shoes

On Saturday I got to attend one of the coolest events I've ever been to - Wine, Women & Shoes. This ab fab event was full of ladies dressed to the nines, men holding platters of shoes, free-flowing wine and hors d'oeuvres, and boutiques selling shoes and accessories. The event also included a silent auction, a live auction, a raffle with a $6,000 prize, and a fashion show. The best part? One hundred percent of the proceeds benefited Second Harvest Food Bank to fight hunger right here in Central Florida. I arrived wearing my new Varga Store dress and my favorite blue shoes (I figured it was the perfect occasion to dust them off, no?). I spent the day interviewing guests and event organizers for a video for IzonOrlando. I had a blast learning all about how this event came about and can't wait to share the video with you in a couple weeks! As for Wine, Women & Shoes - I already can't wait until they are back in Orlando next year! (To see when they are coming to your city, click here.)

Occasion: Wine, Women & Shoes event
Dress: c/o Varga Store, $84
Shoes: Urbanog.com, $21
Bracelets: Forever 21, $8
Earrings: Forever 21, $8

The shoes you are wearing are almost identical to the ones I'm wearing for my wedding — except $60 less!

Hi J!!

The dress and shoes are absolutely GORGEOUS! Would this dress be appropriate for a wedding?

jseverydayfashion said...

Thank you! I think this dress is great for a wedding!! I would just watch the length. I'm 5'7" and wearing a size S. It had tulle underneath the skirt that I had to cut out, because otherwise it was way too short on me, haha. Otherwise though it's perfect!

Look Like a lot of fun.

Ohh, there's a tulle underneath? I'm 5'4". Should I go for a medium? Also, the shoes that you have on are sold out on urbanog.com. :( What shoes would you recommend?

jseverydayfashion said...

Totally your call on the size. I wear a size 0 in tops and blazers and the dress was pretty snug (Varga is junior's sizing) so hopefully that helps. I've had my shoes for more than a year, but I think you could also wear nude shoes, black shoes or another color you see in the dress such as bright pink!

Thanks J! =)

Love both of your dresses! Those blue shoes are to die for! I can't wait to see your video!

Those two ladies you are interviewing (the ones in your pics) are wearing the exact same shoes! )) was it on purpose? were they advertising them?

jseverydayfashion said...

Lena, there were a bunch of vendors there selling accessories. The shoes were for sale and they both happened to be trying on the shoes when I interviewed them. Too funny, huh? :-)

Thank you! I talk about this in my Q&A but my skin is naturally very dark. I've only been to the pool twice this year so far! I think the blond highlights throw people off, but I'm American Indian. :-)

WOW You look FABULOUS, like a Million bucks for about 125 bucks. Your friend looks nice too, I think she got inspired to wear a short floral dress from you. Your shoes are a gem too and they stand out, a great great deal as well. A Great event for a great cause as well.
